Allegation of Fake Voting Triggers Protest in Wadakkanchery

Wadakkanchery: Allegations of fake voting surfaced at a polling booth in Wadakkanchery during the ongoing Kerala Assembly elections, leading to protests by party workers.

The complaint was reported from booth number 49 at the Wadakkancherry Girls School. According to sources, a voter identified as Sajeev arrived at the booth in the morning to cast his vote but was informed that a postal ballot had already been cast in his name.

Following the incident, workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party staged a protest at the polling station, alleging malpractice and demanding immediate action. The protest briefly disrupted the polling process in the area.

Party workers called for a halt to voting at the booth and sought clarification from election officials regarding how the alleged duplication occurred.

Officials have not yet issued a detailed statement on the complaint. Further investigation is expected to determine the circumstances under which the alleged fake voting took place.
