A drone attack from Sudan has killed 17 people in neighboring Chad, officials said. The attack took place in the border town of Tine. It happened during a funeral gathering. Local reports say mourners and children were among the victims.
Officials said it is still not clear who carried out the attack. President Mahamat Idriss Deby has ordered the army to respond. He warned that any further attacks from Sudan will be met with retaliation. The incident comes as the conflict in Sudan continues to escalate.
