Thrissur: The idea that “good health begins with good food” is often discussed, but turning it into reality is not always easy. Driven by this very thought, a vast 65-acre organic farm has taken shape in the scenic village of Pazhuvil in Thrissur district, Kerala. Established under the Azeezia Group, the farm focuses on producing chemical-free rice, vegetables, and other food products using fully organic methods.
Behind this initiative is P. M. Abdul Azeez, a native of Pazhuvil who built a successful career as an engineer and businessman both in India and abroad. Despite his professional achievements, his connection with his hometown and the soil remained strong. That connection eventually inspired him to create what can truly be described as an organic food movement.

The farm has been developed using modern agricultural techniques while maintaining a deep respect for nature. Scientific pest-control methods, automatic irrigation systems, and the exclusive use of organic manure ensure that the crops grow in a completely natural environment. Around twenty workers are involved in maintaining and managing the farm.
Seasonal farming is carefully planned across the land. Vegetables such as pumpkin, ash gourd, and okra can be seen flourishing in one section, while harvested areas of snake gourd, bitter gourd, and bottle gourd mark another part of the farm. At the same time, fresh vegetable vines spread across the fields waiting to bear fruit, and nearby plots are prepared for the next round of cultivation. The entire landscape offers a refreshing sight that blends agriculture with natural beauty.

The produce from the farm reaches consumers through Azeezia’s organic store in Ernakulam, where chemical-free vegetables and fresh milk are made available to the public. Harvesting takes place on alternate days, and the farming system has been designed in such a way that fresh vegetables remain available throughout the year.
Beyond vegetable cultivation, the farm also includes dairy farming and aquaculture. High-yielding cows, Netter-variety fish, and ducks add life and diversity to the farm environment. Goats were once raised here in large numbers, and today two goats are still maintained as a reminder of those earlier days.
Azeezia Organic Farm is not just an agricultural space. It represents a broader vision that combines organic farming, food security, agri-tourism, and a healthy lifestyle. By promoting chemical-free food and demonstrating sustainable farming practices, the farm has become a model project that inspires both farmers and young entrepreneurs.

In many ways, the farm stands as proof that when passion for the land meets modern knowledge, agriculture can become both sustainable and rewarding—while ensuring healthier food for society.
