CBSE Defers Gulf Exams Amid Rising West Asia Tensions; Fresh Dates to Be Announced Soon

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations scheduled for March 5 and March 6 in Gulf countries, citing the escalating situation in West Asia. The move comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students appearing for the board exams abroad.

The directive applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Board officials confirmed that revised dates will be announced after reviewing the evolving regional conditions. A high-level review meeting is set to assess the situation, following which a decision will be taken regarding examinations scheduled after March 7. Students have been urged to remain in close contact with their schools and carefully follow official notifications for the latest updates.
