Commercial LPG Prices Rise Again; 19-kg Cylinder Gets ₹50 Hike, Households Spared

New Delhi: In another setback for the hospitality and food service sectors, oil marketing companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹50, just hours ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget.

The hike applies to 19-kg LPG cylinders used for commercial purposes, impacting hotels, restaurants, catering units, and other business establishments that depend heavily on cooking gas. This comes on top of a ₹111 increase announced in January, further pushing up operational costs for the sector.

With the latest revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has climbed to ₹1,740.50 in Delhi, ₹1,844.50 in Kolkata, ₹1,692 in Mumbai, and ₹1,899.50 in Chennai.

In a relief to households, domestic LPG prices remain unchanged. The last adjustment in prices for household cooking gas was made on April 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, oil companies have announced a reduction in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices, offering some respite to the aviation industry even as commercial gas users brace for higher costs.
