Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has set a clear objective to emerge as a leading hub in South Asia for medical devices, diagnostics, and life sciences manufacturing, Minister for Industries P. Rajeev said.
The minister stated that the state is focusing on strengthening its industrial ecosystem by promoting innovation, research, and investment in the MedTech and life sciences sectors.Minister added that Kerala’s skilled workforce, strong healthcare system, and supportive government policies provide a solid foundation for achieving this goal.
Highlighting the government’s initiatives, P. Rajeev said efforts are underway to attract domestic and international investors, develop advanced infrastructure, and encourage startups in the medical technology and life sciences fields. These steps, he noted, will help generate employment opportunities and position Kerala as a key player in the global healthcare manufacturing landscape.
