Prime Minister Narendra Modi Arrives in Thiruvananthapuram, Roadshow Sparks Enthusiasm

Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, receiving a warm welcome from Governor Rajendra Arlekar and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the airport.

Following his arrival, the Prime Minister held a roadshow from the Thampanoor Overbridge to Putharikandam Maidan, drawing massive crowds of BJP workers and supporters from across the city. Tight security arrangements were put in place in view of the roadshow.

This marks Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Thiruvananthapuram after the BJP took charge of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Mayor V V Rajes h was unable to be present to receive the Prime Minister due to technical issues.

At Thampanoor, the Prime Minister will flag off four trains, three of which are Amrit Bharat Express services. He will also virtually flag off the Thrissur–Guruvayur passenger train. Later, Modi will attend a BJP event at Putharikandam Maidan.

The event will also witness the official announcement of the Twenty20 party joining the NDA alliance, adding political significance to the Prime Minister’s visit.
