Kerala: Gold prices in the state surged dramatically today, opening at the highest level of the month, driven by movements in the international bullion market.
In a steep overnight jump, the price of gold rose by ₹1,240 per sovereign, taking the rate to ₹1,04,240. The price per gram also climbed sharply by ₹155, reaching ₹13,030, sending ripples across the jewellery market.
The surge comes after a period of stability, with prices remaining unchanged over the previous two days. On both days, gold was trading at ₹1,03,000 per sovereign and ₹12,875 per gram.
Today’s Gold Rates in Kerala:
- 24-carat gold: ₹14,215 per gram
- 22-carat gold: ₹13,030 per gram
- 18-carat gold: ₹10,661 per gram
