‘Fight Between Good and Evil’: Vijay Launches Sharp Attack on DMK at Erode Rally

Actor-turned-politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay launched a scathing attack on the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) during a public rally in Erode, framing the current political landscape as a “fight between good and evil.” Calling the DMK an “evil force,” Vijay positioned his party as an alternative to what he described as a corrupt and authoritarian system.

The Erode rally marked Vijay’s first public appearance in Tamil Nadu after the Karur stampede, drawing significant attention and a large crowd. In his speech, Vijay accused the DMK government of betraying public trust, suppressing dissent and failing to address the real concerns of ordinary people.

Without mincing words, the TVK chief said Tamil Nadu politics had reached a point where citizens must choose between ethical governance and moral decay, asserting that his movement represents clean politics and people-centric administration. He urged party workers and supporters to prepare for a long political struggle aimed at reclaiming democracy and justice in the state.

Vijay’s strong rhetoric signals a sharpening of political confrontation ahead of upcoming electoral battles, with TVK increasingly projecting itself as a direct challenger to the DMK. The Erode speech is being seen as a clear message that Vijay intends to play an aggressive and uncompromising role in Tamil Nadu politics going forward.
