Kochi: Gold prices in the state have increased once again, with the rate of one sovereign rising by ₹520. The price of one sovereign (8 grams) today stands at ₹94,200, while the price per gram has risen by ₹65, reaching ₹11,775.
This is the first time in two weeks that the price of gold has moved back above the ₹94,000 mark. Over the last two days, gold prices increased by more than ₹2,000 per sovereign. However, yesterday saw a slight dip of ₹120.
The highest price recorded this month was ₹94,320 on the 13th. After that peak, rates had declined before beginning their latest upward trend.
