Postal Ballot Distribution for Kerala Local Body Elections to Begin on 26th

Special Arrangements Made for Eligible Voters Across the State

Thiruvananthapuram: Ahead of the upcoming Kerala Local Body Elections, the Election Commission has announced that distribution of postal ballots will begin on the 26th of this month. The process will cover thousands of eligible voters who cannot cast their votes in person on election day.

Postal ballots will be issued to government employees on election duty, senior citizens above the eligible age limit, persons with disabilities, essential service staff, and COVID-affected or quarantined individuals, as per the guidelines of the State Election Commission.

District authorities have already set up dedicated teams to ensure smooth distribution and timely collection of postal ballots. Special officers have been deployed to coordinate the process in each local body area, ensuring that all eligible voters receive their ballots without delay.

The Election Commission has emphasized strict adherence to security measures during the postal voting process to maintain transparency and prevent any irregularities.

With the postal ballot distribution beginning shortly, preparations for the Kerala Local Body Elections are moving into their final and critical phase.
