Thiruvananthapuram: The countdown to Kerala’s biggest film celebration has begun as delegate registration for the 30th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) opens today at 10 AM. Film lovers can register online via registration.iffk.in, while an on-site Delegate Cell is also operational at the festival’s main venue, Tagore Theatre.
The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy will host this landmark edition of the festival from December 12 to 19, bringing global cinema to screens across the capital city.
The delegate fee has been fixed at ₹1180 for the general category and ₹590 for students, inclusive of GST. Registration is open to the general public, students, film societies, and film & television professionals, ensuring wide participation from cinephiles.
This year’s IFFK promises an exceptional cinematic lineup. The festival will showcase:
- International Competition films from Asia, Africa, and Latin America
- The widely acclaimed World Cinema segment, featuring award-winning movies from major global film festivals
- Contemporary Indian Cinema
- Malayalam Cinema Today, highlighting the best of local talent
- A special Country Focus selection
- The Homage category, dedicated to legendary film personalities
Adding to the excitement, more than 200 international guests, including renowned filmmakers, technicians, and jury members, are expected to grace the event. Alongside film screenings, IFFK will host Open Forums, Meet-the-Director sessions, In Conversation events, vibrant exhibitions, and a variety of cultural performances, making it an unforgettable week for cinema enthusiasts.
