‘Dhoni Will Play in the Next IPL Too, Will Remain with CSK,’ Confirms CEO

Chennai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kashi Viswanathan has confirmed that legendary captain MS Dhoni will continue to play in the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and remain part of the CSK squad.

The statement comes amid reports that the franchise was making a renewed effort to bring Malayali cricketer Sanju Samson into the team. While speculations about Dhoni’s retirement have been ongoing, the CEO revealed in a private interview that Dhoni himself has confirmed his participation in the upcoming IPL season.

CSK had earlier shown interest in acquiring Sanju Samson, who reportedly wished to leave the Rajasthan Royals, but the move did not materialize. The franchise has now made another approach, reportedly considering Samson as a potential successor to Dhoni in the future, possibly taking on the dual role of wicketkeeper and captain.

MS Dhoni, one of the most successful captains in IPL history, has led Chennai Super Kings to five IPL titles, earning legendary status among fans and teammates alike. His decision to continue for another season is expected to be a major boost for the franchise and its supporters.
