Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today virtually flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains from his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, further boosting India’s network of semi-high-speed rail services. The new trains will enhance connectivity and reduce travel time across major regions of the country.

The newly launched routes are:

  1. Banaras–Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express – connecting two major tourist and cultural destinations in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
  2. Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express – improving connectivity between central and western Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat Express – offering a faster and more comfortable option for travelers between Punjab and the national capital.
  4. Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express – linking two key South Indian metros, facilitating faster business and passenger movement between Kerala and Karnataka.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said the expansion of the Vande Bharat network reflects India’s rapid progress in modern railway infrastructure and the government’s commitment to providing world-class travel facilities to citizens.

With these four additions, the number of Vande Bharat Express trains operating across India has risen significantly, marking another milestone in the country’s journey toward modern, efficient, and passenger-friendly rail transport.
