New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has earned three Guinness World Records for its ambitious initiative, “Swasth Nari, Shashakt Parivar Abhiyan” (Healthy Women, Empowered Families).
The program achieved remarkable milestones — 3.21 crore women enrolled within a single month, 9.94 lakh online breast cancer screenings conducted in just one week, and 1.25 lakh vital signs screenings completed at the state level during the same period.
The campaign, launched on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, aims to strengthen families by ensuring women’s health and well-being. During the inauguration, the Prime Minister urged women to actively participate in health camps and undergo regular checkups.
The initiative was jointly developed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, in response to findings from national health surveys that revealed significant gaps in maternal and child health across the country.
