Kerala Announces 2026 SSLC and Higher Secondary Exam Dates: Exams to Begin on March 5, Results on May 8

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has officially announced the dates for the 2026 SSLC (Class 10) and Higher Secondary examinations. Education Minister V. Sivankutty confirmed that the SSLC exams will commence on March 5, 2026, and conclude on March 30, 2026, with all papers beginning at 9:30 AM.

The SSLC IT practical exams are scheduled from February 2 to 13, 2026, followed by the model exams between February 16 and 20, 2026. Students can submit applications and pay exam fees without a fine from November 12 to 19, 2025, and with a fine from November 21 to 26, 2025. The evaluation process will take place between April 7 and April 25, 2026, and results will be announced on May 8, 2026.

Exams will be conducted across 3,000 centers, including 7 in the Gulf region and 9 in Lakshadweep, accommodating nearly 4.25 lakh students appearing for the SSLC examinations.

Meanwhile, the Higher Secondary (Plus One and Plus Two) and Vocational Higher Secondary exams will also begin in March. The Plus One and VHSE First Year exams are scheduled from March 5 to March 27, 2026, while the Plus Two and VHSE Second Year exams will be held from March 6 to March 28, 2026.

The Plus One exams will start at 1:30 PM, while the Plus Two exams will begin at 9:30 AM, and on Fridays at 9:15 AM, concluding at 12 PM. The Plus Two practical exams are set to begin on January 22, 2026, with the model exams for both classes running from February 16 to 26, 2026.

Fee payment deadlines for Higher Secondary students are as follows: November 7, 2025 (without fine), November 13 (with fine), and November 25 (with super fine).

Around 9 lakh students are expected to appear for the Higher Secondary and VHSE exams across 2,000 centers, including international centers in Gulf countries and Lakshadweep.

Minister V. Sivankutty assured that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the 2026 board examinations both within the state and overseas centers.
