Will Gold Prices Hit Another Record? Prices Rise by ₹2,680 in Three Days

Kochi: The surge in gold prices continues across the state, raising speculation that a new record may be set soon. On Tuesday, the price of gold increased by ₹480 per sovereign, taking the rate to ₹1,02,280 per sovereign. The price per gram rose by ₹60 to ₹12,785.

Over the last three days alone, gold prices have climbed by ₹2,680 per sovereign, indicating a strong upward trend.

Gold prices in the state first crossed the ₹1 lakh mark on December 23. The rally continued in the following days, with an all-time high of ₹1,04,440 per sovereign recorded on December 27. After briefly dipping below ₹1 lakh in subsequent days, prices have once again started rising since Monday.

Fluctuations in the international market continue to influence gold prices in Kerala. Global developments, including US military actions in Venezuela, have impacted market sentiment. The growing preference for gold as a safe-haven investment amid global uncertainties is cited as the primary reason behind the sharp rise in prices.
