‘We Have Been Waiting for This Day… Justice Was Done’: Kerala Family of Pahalgam Victim Hails Operation Sindoor

Thiruvananthapuram/New Delhi: The family of N. Ramachandran, a native of Kerala who was among the 26 victims killed in the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, has welcomed Operation Sindoor, calling it a long-awaited act of justice.

Speaking to media after reports of India’s cross-border military operation emerged, Ramachandran’s wife said, “We have been waiting for this day… finally, justice was done. His soul will rest in peace now.”

Ramachandran, a 52-year-old government employee, was on a pilgrimage when terrorists opened fire on civilians in Pahalgam. His sudden death had sent shockwaves through his hometown in Pathanamthitta district, where he was known for his community service and active social presence.

Reacting to the Indian Army’s strike on terror camps across the Line of Control as part of Operation Sindoor, the family said the government’s action restored a sense of justice and closure, not only for them but for all victims of terrorism.

Local leaders and residents also expressed solidarity with the family, lauding the armed forces for a “swift and strong” response.
