New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the WAVES (Water, Agriculture, Vitality, Energy, and Sustainability) global summit, emphasized the deep significance behind the initiative, stating that “WAVES is not just an acronym. It actually is a wave — a wave of change, innovation, and sustainability.”
Speaking at the high-profile event attended by international delegates, scientists, policymakers, and industry leaders, PM Modi highlighted India’s commitment to addressing global challenges through holistic, sustainable approaches. He said the WAVES initiative reflects the interconnectedness of water security, agricultural innovation, energy resilience, and environmental vitality.
“This summit is a platform for global collaboration on issues that are no longer optional but essential for our shared future,” he added, stressing that countries must unite to combat climate change, food insecurity, and resource scarcity.
