Thrissur: Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar, accompanied by his wife Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, paid a solemn visit to the Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple on Sunday, receiving a grand welcome from local leaders and officials.
Despite initial weather-related disruptions that delayed his landing, the Vice President proceeded to an official engagement in Ernakulam before arriving at the Sreekrishna College helipad. He later reached the temple by 1:35 PM, completed his darshan by 1:48 PM, and departed from the helipad by 2:15 PM.
The dignitaries who welcomed the Vice President included Murali Perunelli MLA, District Collector Arjun Pandiyan, City Police Commissioner R. Ilango, Additional State Protocol Officer Binu C, and Kandanassery Grama Panchayat President Mini Jayan.
The visit highlighted the spiritual significance of Guruvayur and showcased the warm hospitality extended by the Thrissur district.
