Vice President in Thiruvananthapuram Today; Trivandrum Fest Chief Guest, Traffic Curbs Announced

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan arrives in the state capital today on a two-day visit, with a packed schedule of cultural and academic engagements. In view of the high-profile visit, traffic restrictions have been imposed in parts of Thiruvananthapuram.

The Vice President is scheduled to reach the city around 7 pm and will attend the Trivandrum Fest as the chief guest at 7.20 pm at the Palayam LMS Compound. Vice President will stay overnight at Lok Bhavan.

On Saturday at 10 am, the Vice President will inaugurate the 93rd Sivagiri Theerthadanam Conference at Sivagiri, Varkala, a landmark spiritual and social gathering. He will then return to Thiruvananthapuram by helicopter.

Later in the day, at 12.05 pm, the Vice President will inaugurate the valedictory session of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Mar Ivanios College, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s history. The Vice President is scheduled to depart for New Delhi at 1.25 pm, concluding his visit.
