TEHRAN: A United States fighter jet reportedly crashed in southwestern Iran, with the pilot ejecting safely before the aircraft went down, according to local reports. The incident is said to have occurred in the mountainous Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, where search efforts are currently underway.
Authorities indicated that the pilot parachuted out of the aircraft, but his whereabouts remain unknown. Iranian military sources have reportedly urged local residents to inform authorities if the pilot is found and to ensure he is handed over alive.
