MANANTHAVADY: Union Minister of State for Scheduled Tribes Durga Das Uikey will visit Mananthavady on Friday as part of the NDA’s election campaign.
He is scheduled to arrive at Kannur airport and then travel by helicopter to the Sacred Heart HSS ground at Dwarka, where he will land at 8.20 am. The minister will later take part in a meeting with tribal leaders at hotel Brahmagiri in Mananthavady at 9 am. The meeting is about to discuss key issues faced by tribal communities in Wayanad. The visit is aimed at boosting support for NDA candidate P Shyam Raj in the constituency.
He is also scheduled to address a public gathering at Gandhi Park at 10 am. Later, Uike will travel by helicopter to Bathery to continue campaigning for the NDA candidate.
