Residents urged to keep a safe distance and report sightings through emergency hotline 999
Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s disaster management authority has warned residents not to approach, touch, or photograph any debris from missiles or drones that may fall to the ground following air defense interceptions.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) urged the public to maintain a safe distance from such objects and immediately leave the area if they come across any suspicious debris.
In a statement shared on social media, the authority advised residents to report such incidents through the emergency hotline 999 so that the concerned authorities can respond quickly.
NCEMA emphasized that only specialized teams are trained and authorized to handle such situations. Even if the objects appear harmless, attempting to approach or handle them could pose serious risks, the authority warned.
The agency also reminded the public that safety protocols must be followed strictly to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of residents.
