Chennai: Tamil superstar Vijay, the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has launched a bold political campaign, calling for the removal of both the ruling DMK government in Tamil Nadu and the BJP-led central government. Speaking at TVK’s first anniversary celebrations in Mahabalipuram, Vijay accused both parties of failing to address the real issues faced by the people.
Vijay alleged that the DMK and BJP were working together to divert public attention from pressing concerns and claimed that their policies have been anti-people. “One sings, and the other dances in sync, while the common man’s struggles remain unheard and unresolved,” Vijay remarked.
As part of his ‘#GetOut’ campaign, he urged Tamil Nadu’s citizens to reject both governments in the upcoming elections. He also emphasized the importance of Tamil identity, asserting that no language should be forcibly imposed on the people.
Vijay further criticized the DMK government for prioritizing publicity over meaningful governance and called on people to join his party’s movement. He assured that TVK would stand firmly for the welfare of the common people and that he could no longer remain a silent spectator to their hardships.
