Salem: Popular Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was injured and his father tragically lost his life in a car accident near Salem. The mishap occurred around 6 a.m. while the actor was en route to Bengaluru for medical treatment.
A speeding truck is reported to have rammed into the car carrying Shine and his family. The actor, who was asleep in the back seat at the time, sustained a serious fracture in his right hand and is expected to undergo emergency surgery.
His mother and brother, also in the vehicle, escaped with minor injuries. The vehicle was being driven by Shine’s assistant. The sudden loss has left the family and fans in deep shock.
