Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated rainfall across Kerala today, with chances of thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching up to 40 kmph. While no district-specific heavy rain alerts have been issued, residents are advised to stay cautious.
The active weather spell is driven by a cyclonic circulation over the Mannar Gulf and along the south Odisha–north Andhra Pradesh coastlines at higher levels. IMD forecasts that this system will keep Kerala under a rainy spell for the next five days.
