Thrissur: Union Minister Suresh Gopi lauded the relentless efforts of Kerala Revenue Minister K. Rajan in making the 2025 Thrissur Pooram a grand success. Speaking at the “Suchitwa Pooram” event held to honor the sanitation and support workers of the festival, Gopi expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying he felt like hugging and kissing the minister in appreciation.
“Minister Rajan didn’t get a moment to enjoy the Pooram. He wasn’t sitting in any gallery as a spectator. He worked tirelessly on the ground like a committed organizer,” Gopi said.
He also applauded the teamwork and coordination among all those involved, which ensured that the festival concluded smoothly without any disruptions. The Union Minister extended his thanks to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan for their proactive involvement.
“On behalf of the people of Thrissur and all Malayalees, I sincerely thank the ministers for understanding the spirit of the Pooram and working accordingly,” he said.
The 2025 edition of Thrissur Pooram took place on May 6. While last year Suresh Gopi attended the festival as a Lok Sabha candidate, this year he participated as a Union Minister. Reflecting on the event, he said with emotion, “Pooram is in my heart.”
