Thiruvananthapuram: In a significant achievement for Kerala’s space industry, SpaceX successfully launched the ‘Nila’ satellite, developed by Thiruvananthapuram-based space startup HEX20. The launch marks a major milestone for the startup and Kerala’s growing presence in the space sector.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) played a crucial role in supporting the project, providing necessary guidance and approvals. Additionally, ISRO cleared the establishment of a tracking station at Marian Engineering College in Thiruvananthapuram, further strengthening Kerala’s space research infrastructure.
The successful deployment of the Nila satellite demonstrates the increasing capabilities of private space companies in India and highlights Kerala’s emerging role in the global space industry.
