Kochi – Gold prices in Kerala have seen a slight uptick, with the rate increasing by ₹40 per sovereign on Saturday. The current price for one sovereign (8 grams) of gold is ₹72,840, while the rate per gram has risen by ₹5, reaching ₹9,105.
After fluctuating over the past few days, gold prices began climbing again from Friday onwards. At the beginning of this month, the price of one sovereign stood at ₹72,160.
On June 13, gold prices surpassed the previous record set on April 22, when the rate had hit ₹74,320 per sovereign. The following day, prices rose further, setting a new all-time high before witnessing a gradual decline. The latest increase, though modest, signals continued volatility in the gold market.
