Thiruvananthapuram – Kerala Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal has announced that the state government has sanctioned an additional ₹122 crore to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for the month of June. Of this, ₹72 crore is allocated for pension distribution and ₹50 crore for other operational expenses.
The minister shared the update via a Facebook post, stating that the current government has so far provided a total financial assistance of ₹6,523 crore to KSRTC since taking office.
In the current financial year, a budget allocation of ₹900 crore was earmarked for the corporation, of which ₹388 crore has already been disbursed within the first three months.
Additionally, the minister noted that beyond the ₹900 crore allocated in the previous financial year’s budget, KSRTC received an extra ₹676 crore in supplementary support.
