Recording Court Proceedings is Interference in Justice: Kerala High Court

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has ruled that recording court proceedings amounts to interfering with the administration of justice, emphasizing that such actions cannot be permitted without prior authorization. The court made this observation while dismissing a petition filed by an infrastructure firm challenging proceedings initiated under the SARFAESI Act, 2002.

The bench noted that allowing individuals to record proceedings could disrupt the decorum of the court and lead to misuse of legal processes. The judgment reinforces the sanctity of courtrooms and underscores the need for judicial discipline in handling sensitive legal matters.
