Kochi: In a major drug raid, cannabis was seized from the flat of rapper Veden in Kochi. The operation was carried out by the Hill Palace Police in Thrippunithura, who discovered the drugs during a detailed inspection.
The raid was part of a wider crackdown following growing concerns over narcotics use within the film industry. The authorities expanded their inspection efforts across Kochi, and Veden’s flat was identified based on intelligence gathered by the Dance-off team, which tipped off the police about cannabis use at the location.
A total of 7 grams of cannabis was found during the raid. At the time, nine individuals were present in the flat. Veden, a prominent figure in the independent music scene among the youth, is expected to face arrest, according to reports.
