Attappady, Kerala: The excitement surrounding ‘Jailer 2’ is reaching fever pitch as Superstar Rajinikanth kicks off the film’s second shooting schedule in the scenic hill village of Sholayur Gonchiur, Attappady. A viral video from the set has set social media abuzz, giving fans a sneak peek of the action unfolding in Kerala.
Following a grand start to the shoot in Chennai this March, the team has now shifted base to Kerala, where Rajinikanth is expected to stay for nearly 20 days as filming continues.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is backed by the powerhouse banner Sun Pictures, with Kalanithi Maran producing and hitmaker Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music.
The first installment, Jailer (2023), shattered box office records, raking in over ₹600 crore globally. With that kind of success, expectations are sky-high for the sequel. The buzz began in January when the makers dropped an electrifying promo video announcing Jailer 2, sending fans into a frenzy.
Now, with Rajinikanth back in action and Kerala as the backdrop, Jailer 2 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest blockbusters in the making.
