Kochi: The Kerala High Court has ruled that printers and advertisers will be held responsible for illegal hoardings put up by their clients. The court clarified that even if a client requests it, no unauthorized hoarding or board can be printed or displayed.
The court emphasized the need for strict action to curb the increasing number of illegal hoardings and flex boards across the state.
Additionally, the responsibility for removing all existing and future illegal boards and flags will personally rest with the secretaries of local self-government institutions.
The High Court warned that stringent legal measures will be enforced to regulate hoardings, and violators will face strict action.
