Prime Minister Reiterates Commitment to Women Empowerment on International Women’s Day

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and gender equality. He highlighted various initiatives aimed at uplifting women across sectors, ensuring financial independence, education, and leadership opportunities.

In a statement, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of women’s active participation in nation-building and reiterated the government’s focus on policies that promote entrepreneurship, employment, and social security for women. He also praised the contributions of women in science, technology, defense, and other key fields.

The government has introduced multiple schemes, such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Loan for Women, and the Women’s Reservation Bill, to strengthen gender inclusivity in governance and economic growth.

The Prime Minister also took to social media to extend greetings to women across the country, applauding their resilience, achievements, and contributions to society. Several government-led women-centric programs and events were held across India to mark the occasion.
