New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, highlighting India’s growing ambitions in the field of space exploration. During the interaction, the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Indian scientists and astronauts, emphasizing that the nation’s journey to success depends on achieving its space goals through Atmanirbharta (self-reliance).

PM Modi noted that India has already made remarkable strides in space research, satellite technology, and interplanetary missions, and is now preparing to take a significant leap with human spaceflight under the Gaganyaan mission. He praised Shubhanshu Shukla and the team of astronauts undergoing rigorous training, calling them “symbols of India’s aspiration and determination.”

“India’s space journey is not just about scientific achievements; it is about inspiring future generations and strengthening national pride. Our mission must be guided by self-reliance, innovation, and global leadership,” the Prime Minister said.

Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla expressed gratitude for the government’s continuous support and assured that the team will uphold the nation’s expectations.

The interaction comes at a time when India is set to achieve major milestones in space exploration, including the much-anticipated Gaganyaan human spaceflight, expected to place Indian astronauts into orbit in the near future.
