President Droupadi Murmu to Make Historic Visit to Sabarimala on May 19

Thiruvananthapuram – President Droupadi Murmu is set to create history as she becomes the first Indian President to visit and offer prayers at the famed Sabarimala temple in Kerala. Her visit is scheduled for May 19, and elaborate security and ceremonial arrangements are already in progress.

This unprecedented visit to the hill shrine, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, marks a significant moment in the temple’s history, which is traditionally known for its rigorous pilgrimage rituals and restrictions. The Kerala government and Travancore Devaswom Board are coordinating closely with security agencies to ensure a smooth and secure visit.

Due to the President’s arrival, public darshan at the temple will be restricted during her time at the shrine. Officials have urged devotees to plan their visits accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

President Murmu’s trip to Sabarimala is part of her broader tour of Kerala, reflecting her outreach to various regions and religious institutions across the country.
