President Droupadi Murmu to Embark on Kerala Visit; Sabarimala Darshan Scheduled for October 22

Thiruvananthapuram/New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit the sacred Sabarimala temple on October 22 during her three-day visit to Kerala from October 22 to 24. The visit coincides with the final day of the Thulamasa Pooja rituals, adding spiritual significance to her itinerary.

Arriving at Nedumbassery airport in the afternoon, the President will proceed to Nilakkal and later visit Sabarimala for the evening darshan. She is expected to return to Thiruvananthapuram later that night.

The Thulamasa Poojas at Sabarimala begin on October 16. Kerala Minister V.N. Vasavan earlier confirmed the President’s participation in the Global Ayyappa Convention during her temple visit. Extensive security arrangements have been made in anticipation of her arrival.

President Murmu had initially planned to visit Sabarimala in May, but the trip was postponed due to heightened India–Pakistan tensions at the time.
