PM Modi Unveils Vision for Digital Governance and Inclusive Growth at G20

At the recent G20 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed the transformative role of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), artificial intelligence (AI), and data-driven governance in driving inclusive global growth. Highlighting India’s technological leadership, Modi showcased innovations like the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and the Global Digital Public Infrastructure Repository, which aims to share digital solutions with low- and middle-income countries, fostering broader access to sustainable development tools.

In a significant move, PM Modi pledged $25 million towards a Social Impact Fund designed to expedite DPI rollout in the Global South, emphasizing equitable access to digital services and promoting digital literacy. He further outlined India’s success in leveraging AI for efficient governance, aligning with global goals to combat inequality and accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

These announcements underscore India’s commitment to harnessing technology as a force for positive, sustainable global change.
