PM Modi to Launch 100-Year Tribute to Historic Gandhi–Guru Dialogue in Kerala on June 24

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the centenary celebrations of the historic 1925 conversation between Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi on June 24, 2025, in Kerala.

This iconic meeting, which took place a century ago at Sivagiri, marked a turning point in India’s social awakening, as two of the nation’s greatest thinkers discussed equality, non-violence, caste reform, and spiritual upliftment—principles that went on to shape the fabric of modern India.

The 100-year commemoration will feature a wide array of cultural programs, exhibitions, seminars, and educational initiatives across the state. PM Modi is expected to deliver a keynote address emphasizing the timeless relevance of the Guru–Gandhi dialogue, and its message of unity, inclusivity, and social justice.

The event, jointly organized by the Kerala state government, Sree Narayana Dharma institutions, and the Union Ministry of Culture, will bring together spiritual leaders, scholars, historians, and political dignitaries from across the country.

As India marks a century since this defining moment in its reformist journey, the celebrations aim to revive and reflect on the core values of peace, equality, and human dignity championed by both Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi.
