PM Modi to Address Nation at 8 PM Today: His First Speech After India-Pakistan Ceasefire

New Delhi, May 12, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation at 8 PM today in his first public statement following the conclusion of Operation Sindoor and the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement.

This significant address comes after India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists. The operation was deemed successful, resulting in the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and strikes on Pakistani military assets. Subsequently, both countries agreed to a ceasefire, restoring calm along the Line of Control (LoC).

Earlier today, PM Modi held a high-level meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the three service chiefs to review the situation and plan the way forward.

The nation eagerly awaits the Prime Minister’s address for insights into India’s defense strategy, the outcomes of Operation Sindoor, and its continued commitment to national security and countering cross-border terrorism.
