New Delhi: On the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to providing affordable and quality healthcare for all citizens. He emphasized the success of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), which has significantly reduced the cost of essential medicines for millions of people across India.
PM Modi highlighted that Jan Aushadhi Kendras have played a crucial role in ensuring access to low-cost yet effective medicines, making healthcare more accessible, especially for the underprivileged. He stated that the initiative is a big step towards reducing out-of-pocket medical expenses and improving public health.
The Prime Minister also encouraged more people to take advantage of Jan Aushadhi medicines, reinforcing the government’s mission to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and ensure that no one is deprived of necessary medical treatment due to high costs.
