Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali aboard INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier, honoring the Indian Navy personnel who safeguard the nation’s seas.
Addressing the sailors and officers, PM Modi praised the Navy’s courage and unity, especially during ‘Operation Sindoor’, calling it a shining example of India’s defense strength and operational excellence.
“INS Vikrant is not just a warship—it is a living symbol of 21st-century India’s hard work, talent, and commitment,” said the Prime Minister, underscoring how the carrier reflects India’s growing prowess in indigenous defense manufacturing under the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ vision.
Amid the festive spirit, PM Modi personally interacted with Navy personnel, exchanged Diwali greetings, and commended their dedication to duty even while being away from their families during the festival of lights.
The celebration aboard INS Vikrant not only marked a moment of national pride but also highlighted India’s advancing maritime might and the government’s unwavering resolve to strengthen its defense forces while honoring their indomitable spirit.
