PM Modi Launches NDA’s Bihar Campaign, Calls INDIA Bloc “Alliance of the Power-Hungry” — Predicts Record Victory for NDA

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted the NDA’s election campaign in Bihar with fiery rallies, declaring that the alliance will script a record-breaking victory in the upcoming Assembly polls. Taking a sharp dig at the opposition, Modi called the INDIA bloc “a group of squabbling and corrupt parties” that cannot even manage unity within themselves.

Sharing the stage with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and NDA leaders Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi, Modi said the NDA was moving forward with unity and purpose, while the INDIA alliance was trapped in chaos and arrogance.

“The INDIA bloc is a coalition of those who fight among themselves. Their leaders are corrupt, many out on bail, and driven only by self-interest,” Modi said, accusing the RJD and Congress of betraying Bihar’s trust.

Modi also targeted the Congress, recalling how the Gandhi family humiliated Sitaram Kesari, a veteran from Bihar, by ousting him from the post of Congress president. “They disrespected Bihar’s pride,”PM said.

In a lighter moment, Modi asked the crowd to turn on their phone flashlights, remarking, “When there’s so much light around, who needs a lamp?” — a playful jab at the RJD’s party symbol.

Highlighting Bihar’s transformation under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Modi said the state has advanced far beyond its dependency on others.

“In the last 11 years, the Centre has given Bihar three times more assistance than before. Today, Bihar is exporting its own products like makhana (fox nuts) to global markets and emerging as a promising investment hub,” PM said.

Modi contrasted this progress with the “Jungle Raj” era, when, he said, only 15 paise of every rupee spent by the government reached the people. “We cannot allow Bihar to slip back into that darkness,” PM urged.

The Prime Minister also pointed out the decline of Maoist insurgency, stating, “When I came to power in 2014, I vowed to end Maoism. Today, I can say with humility — we have broken its backbone. India will soon be free from this menace.”

Concluding his address, Modi exuded confidence that Bihar would follow the trend of BJP’s recent triumphs in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana, and deliver a historic win for the NDA.

The Bihar Assembly elections will take place in two phases — November 6 and November 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
