PM Modi Launches Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited, Stresses Women’s Empowerment as Key to Viksit Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited, marking a significant step towards strengthening women’s self-help groups and cooperative movements in the state.

Addressing the event, PM Modi said that empowered women are the foundation of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and emphasized that women’s empowerment remains the top priority of his government.

The new cooperative initiative aims to expand financial support and credit access to women-led self-help groups under the Jeevika project, enabling them to become more self-reliant and active contributors to the rural economy.

Highlighting various welfare schemes launched for women across the country, PM Modi said that initiatives like Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan accounts, and cooperative models are helping women not only uplift their families but also play a leading role in India’s growth journey.

The Prime Minister also lauded the contribution of Bihar’s women in grassroots development, noting that cooperatives such as Jeevika have already transformed thousands of rural households and will now receive a further boost through this dedicated cooperative society.
