Bhavnagar, Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through the Ocean) event in Bhavnagar, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹34,200 crore.
The projects span key sectors including infrastructure, ports, renewable energy, connectivity, and urban development, aimed at boosting Gujarat’s economic growth and strengthening India’s maritime capabilities.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi emphasized that Gujarat’s coastline has been a gateway for trade, culture, and prosperity for centuries, and the new initiatives will further transform the region into a hub of commerce and employment. He highlighted that the projects will generate new opportunities for youth, improve logistics efficiency, and attract global investments.
The Prime Minister also underlined his government’s commitment to the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”, stressing that initiatives like Samudra se Samriddhi will play a crucial role in achieving long-term sustainable development.
The event witnessed the participation of state leaders, industry representatives, and local citizens, marking a significant milestone in Gujarat’s developmental journey.
