Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the inaugural ceremony of India Energy Week 2026 via video conferencing, presenting a strong vision for India’s energy transition and reaffirming the country’s commitment to clean, secure and self-reliant energy.
In his address, the Prime Minister said India is rapidly emerging as a global leader in the energy sector, balancing economic growth with sustainability. PM highlighted the country’s decisive push towards renewable energy, green hydrogen, biofuels and electric mobility, calling them key pillars of India’s journey towards net-zero emissions.
Shri Modi emphasised that India’s energy reforms have created a transparent, stable and investor-friendly environment, attracting large-scale global investments. PM noted that energy transformation is not just about climate responsibility, but also about generating employment, fostering innovation and strengthening national energy security.
