Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan in Bhopal on May 31, 2025, marking the 300th birth anniversary of the iconic queen Ahilyabai Holkar. Hailing her as a visionary who safeguarded India’s cultural heritage, PM Modi described Ahilyabai as a timeless symbol of leadership and nation-building.
Reinforcing his government’s commitment to women-led progress, the Prime Minister spotlighted initiatives like the Namo Drone Didi campaign, which enables rural women to operate drones for agricultural and commercial purposes—boosting both self-reliance and income. He also celebrated the growing role of women in science and technology, citing their significant contributions to India’s space missions.
PM Modi proudly highlighted the bravery of women personnel in the Border Security Force (BSF), especially during Operation Sindoor, which he called India’s most successful anti-terror operation—a powerful testament to women’s valor in safeguarding the nation.
In addition to honoring women’s achievements, the Prime Minister launched several major development projects, including the Indore Metro and new airports in Datia and Satna. These initiatives aim to boost connectivity, generate employment, and propel Madhya Pradesh toward a brighter, more inclusive future.
