PM Modi Highlights the Power of Youth on National Voters’ Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on National Voters’ Day, celebrating India’s vibrant democracy and urging citizens to exercise their right to vote. The day marks the foundation of the Election Commission of India, established in 1950, and has been celebrated annually since 2011 to encourage voter enrollment, particularly among first-time voters.

PM Modi urged young voters to take an active role in shaping the nation’s future, stating, “Your vote will fasten the country’s growth.” Highlighting the significance of the next 25 years, he emphasized that the youth’s participation would determine the destiny of both Bharat and themselves.

Expressing gratitude to the Election Commission for its efforts in ensuring free and fair elections, the Prime Minister called on citizens to work together to strengthen the democratic process and reinforce national unity.

He also reassured the youth of his dedication to their aspirations, saying, “It is Modi’s guarantee that your dreams are my resolve.” Encouraging informed participation in elections, the Prime Minister reminded citizens of the immense power their vote holds in building a developed and progressive India.
